The Chevrolet LM7/L59 engine is a 5.3L V8 gasoline engine found in light-duty GM trucks, SUVs, and vans. The LM7 is a Gen III engine utilized from 1999-2007 and is known for its reliability and durability. It features a cast iron block and aluminum heads. The L59 is a flex-fuel variant introduced in 2002, capable of running on E85 and gasoline, and is otherwise similar to the LM7.
