Sportsman Lifters from COMP Cams are a premium, lighter-weight upgrade over Endure-X Lifters and a value alternative to the Elite Race option. They feature either a needle bearing or bronze bushing axle/wheel setup, and for Chevrolets, left or right offset pushrod seat options. Each design incorporates two pressurized EDM oil feeds to the axle and an edge orifice feed to the wheel for reliable oil delivery. Sportsman Lifters have a shallower oil band for increased strength and rigidity, internal machining for reduced weight, and a skirted wheel design for strengthened lifter ears and increased contact with the lifter bore, enhancing stability. Staked axles eliminate clips for robust retention, increasing stiffness and preventing ear spread. Built from 8620 premium steel for strength and wear resistance, they feature a captured link bar design with a tapered and slotted tower for reduced weight and improved aesthetics. The tall body allows use in both standard and .300" tall lifter bores, increasing strength and reducing lifter bore wear.
