5.5-Inch Lift Kit with 4-Link Conversion and NX2 Shocks

The BDS Suspension 1652FS is a comprehensive 5.5-inch suspension lift kit designed to significantly upgrade the stance, performance, and off-road capability of 2013-2018 RAM 3500 gas-powered trucks. This kit is specifically for models equipped with factory rear air ride and includes a 4-Link conversion for improved suspension geometry. The front of the kit features gas-specific Pro-Ride progressive rate coil springs to provide the correct lift height and a smooth ride. It also includes 4-Link control arms with high-strength 1/4-inch steel brackets to optimize axle positioning and limit caster change. Steering geometry is corrected with a forged drop pitman arm and a heavy-duty track bar drop bracket to maintain proper alignment. For enhanced shock absorption and performance, the kit includes precision-tuned NX2 or FOX 2.0 nitrogen-charged shocks. In the rear, the kit utilizes a high-strength fabricated lift block, heavy-duty air bag spacers, and longer u-bolts. A matching set of NX2 Nitro or FOX 2.0 Performance shocks are also included to complement the front setup. This system allows for clearance of up to 37-inch tires, greatly expanding tire fitment options. Installation is rated as moderate with an estimated time of 8 hours. Important notes for installation include potential exhaust modification for 6.4L gas models and possible modification for 5.7L gas models to clear the front driveshaft. A carrier bearing drop is necessary for models with a two-piece rear drive shaft, and some vehicles may require a rear driveshaft spacer kit (part #122007) for adequate engagement. Dual Rear Wheel (DRW) models may experience inner wheel clearance limitations with the upper u-bolt plate on 5.5-6 inch kits.
