5.5-Inch Suspension Lift Kit w/ Fox 2.0 Shocks

The BDS Suspension BDS1607FS is a comprehensive 5.5-inch suspension lift kit engineered to elevate the performance and aesthetics of 2013-2018 4WD gas-powered Ram 3500 trucks. This system is designed to provide an improved stance, enhanced capability, and clearance for tires up to 37 inches in diameter. Up front, the kit includes gas-specific, progressive-rate Pro-Ride coil springs and heavy-duty radius arm drop brackets to maintain proper suspension geometry. Steering correction is achieved through a forged drop pitman arm and a front track bar relocation bracket to keep the axle centered. Front sway bar correction is also included to preserve handling. In the rear, a high-strength fabricated lift block and longer u-bolts are used, paired with Fox 2.0 Performance nitrogen-charged shocks. Installation notes and potential modifications are important for certain configurations. 6.4L gas models may require exhaust modification to clear the front driveshaft, and 5.7L gas models might also need similar exhaust work. The vehicle can be operated without the front driveshaft to reach an exhaust shop for these adjustments. A carrier bearing drop is necessary for models equipped with a two-piece rear driveshaft, and some vehicles may require a rear driveshaft spacer kit (122007) to ensure adequate rear driveshaft engagement. Dual Rear Wheel (DRW) models may experience inner wheel clearance limitations with the upper u-bolt plate on 5.5-6 inch kits. This kit includes components such as front coils for 4-inch Diesel or 5.5-inch Gas engines, a 5-inch rear block kit, a transmission crossmember, and a transfer case indexing ring to correct front driveline angles, allowing for the use of factory driveshafts. The package is completed with Fox 2.0 Performance shocks designed to improve both on-road ride quality and off-road performance.
