5.5-Inch Suspension Lift Kit with NX2 Shocks

The BDS Suspension 1651FS is a 5.5-inch suspension lift kit engineered to enhance the stance, performance, and capability of 2013-2018 4WD gas-powered Ram 3500 trucks that feature factory rear air ride. This comprehensive kit allows for the fitment of up to 37-inch diameter tires, offering a significant upgrade for off-road aesthetics and function. Up front, the kit utilizes gas-specific Pro-Ride coil springs, heavy-duty radius arm drop brackets to maintain proper suspension geometry, a forged drop pitman arm for steering angle correction, and a track bar relocation bracket to reposition the axle accurately. It also includes bump stops and brake line brackets. The rear of the kit incorporates a high-strength fabricated lift block, robust air bag spacers, and longer u-bolts to achieve the 6-inch rear lift height. Included with the kit are precision-tuned NX2 or FOX 2.0 nitrogen-charged shocks for both the front and rear, designed to improve both ride quality and off-road performance. Key features also include a heavy-duty transmission crossmember and t-case indexing ring to correct front driveline angles, allowing the use of factory driveshafts, and front sway bar correction for maintaining handling performance. Important installation notes and fitment considerations include that 6.4L and potentially 5.7L gas models may require exhaust modification to clear the front driveshaft; the vehicle can be driven without the front driveshaft to an exhaust shop for these modifications. A carrier bearing drop kit is necessary for models equipped with a two-piece rear driveshaft, and some vehicles may require a rear driveshaft spacer kit (122007) for adequate rear driveshaft engagement. Dual Rear Wheel (DRW) models may experience fitment with the upper u-bolt plate on 5.5-6" kits.
