5.5" ULTRA Clutch Assembly

The Tilton 5.5" ULTRA clutch assembly represents Tilton's lightest 5.5” metallic racing clutch, engineered as a direct replacement and performance upgrade for QM 6-leg 5.5” clutches. Its design prioritizes durability and performance, featuring a rigid clutch cover that minimizes deflection and hardened steel thrust buttons integrated into the clutch legs. The use of proprietary materials and advanced manufacturing techniques increases the service life of the clutch internals. This clutch assembly offers significant torque capacity, with a 3-plate configuration handling up to 750 lb-ft and a 2-plate configuration rated for 500 lb-ft. The 2-disc assembly weighs 7.0 lbs (clutch and discs: 4.9 lbs), while the 3-disc assembly weighs 8.4 lbs (clutch and discs: 6.3 lbs). The assembly is designed to accept Tilton or QM 99-tooth and 110-tooth cover-mount ring gears, providing flexibility for various setups.
