5.7 HEMI VVT Stage 4 Camshaft

The Brian Tooley Racing 5.7 HEMI VVT Stage 4 Camshaft is engineered for Gen III 2009+ Hemi applications, offering a significant performance upgrade for naturally aspirated engines. This camshaft, with its 224/24X intake/exhaust duration at .050 lift and .587/.586 lift, is designed to deliver an aggressive sound and an expanded RPM operating range from 2300 to 7400 RPM. Brian Tooley Racing meticulously designs and develops these lobes in-house, balancing performance with stability. Rigorous spintron and dyno testing validate its performance and durability. Expect gains of approximately 85 horsepower and 12 ft-lbs of torque with an additional 1900 RPM of usable operating range, particularly when paired with an aftermarket torque converter. Dyno tests on a stock 5.7L Hemi showed peak gains of 83 HP and 72 lb/ft at 6000 RPM, with the camshaft continuing to pull strong past 7100 RPM. Installation of this camshaft requires specific components and considerations. A VVT lockout, BTR-VVT-HEMI-LO, is included with the camshaft. It is recommended to use BTR aftermarket spring kits (SK017, SK017/TS, or SP021-16) due to the high valve lift and increased RPM potential. Non-MDS lifters or an MDS conversion are also required. For optimal performance, a proper calibration is essential, and the use of an aftermarket torque converter is recommended.
