Overview

The IHC Suspension 5/7 lowering kit is a comprehensive package for 1988-1998 C1500 trucks. It includes 3" lowering control arms and 2" drop springs for the front, along with a flip kit, drop shocks, shock extenders, 2" lowering shackles, and a bolt-on C-notch for the rear. This kit is designed to replace worn ball joints and bushings with new IHC control arms, which reduce track width by 3/4" for improved tire-to-fender clearance.

The IHC Suspension 5/7 lowering kit is engineered to be the most complete C1500 lowering solution available, offering significant upgrades beyond standard kits. This comprehensive package addresses both lowering the truck's stance and replacing aging suspension components with new IHC control arms. The front of the kit features 3" lowering upper and lower control arms, paired with 2" drop springs, and includes shorter sway bar links. These control arms are designed with a reduced track width of 3/4" to provide enhanced tire-to-fender clearance, allowing for a wider range of wheel and tire options. The rear of the kit includes a flip kit designed with the correct pinion angle to eliminate the need for shims, drop shocks, shock extenders, and 2" lowering shackles. A key feature for the rear is the bolt-on C-notch, constructed from 1/4" metal plate with Grade 8 hardware, offering a user-friendly installation for custom applications. All metal components are backed by a lifetime warranty. Installation by a certified mechanic is recommended, with an estimated installation time of 9 hours, excluding alignment. This kit is specifically designed to fit 2WD coil spring vehicles only. It does NOT fit 4WD models, long bed models, or 454 SS models.
