The Modern Muscle Extreme 5.7 VVT HEMI Performance Camshaft Kit is engineered as a direct-fit, no-tune-required upgrade for 5.7 VVT Hemi engines equipped with MDS (Multi-Displacement System) lifters. This camshaft offers a significant performance enhancement without necessitating a PCM tune, Phazer limiter, pushrod upgrade, or MDS delete, simplifying installation and maintaining factory calibration compatibility. MMX has conducted extensive research and development to optimize this camshaft for use with existing factory components. This performance camshaft has demonstrated an increase of 30 Wheel Horsepower and a noticeable boost in low-end torque in testing on a 2019 Ram 1500 5.7 Laramie. While it operates effectively with the factory engine calibration, users have the option to achieve even greater power gains by unlocking and tuning the PCM. The kit is designed exclusively for MDS lifters; it is explicitly stated that this camshaft should NOT be used with non-MDS lifters. For applications requiring an MDS delete, MMX offers a separate NTR NON MDS 5.7 Camshaft version.
