Overview

The MMX MMP-MDS57auto is a HEMI engine MDS delete kit designed to remove the factory MDS feature on 2009 and newer 5.7L HEMI engines. This kit is compatible with LX, LC, and Jeep models. It includes a non-MDS camshaft, solenoid delete plugs, timing chain components, and head gaskets. Additional hardware like head bolts and rocker shaft bolts are also provided.

The ModernMuscleXtreme HEMI engine MDS delete kit (MMP-MDS57auto) is engineered for 2009 and newer 5.7L HEMI powered vehicles, including Challengers, Chargers, 300Cs, Durangos, and Jeeps. This comprehensive kit allows you to eliminate the factory MDS (Multi-Displacement System) feature. This kit includes essential components for the conversion: one non-MDS factory auto camshaft, four solenoid delete plugs, a timing chain, timing chain guide, timing chain tensioner, and a timing cover gasket. It also comes with two OEM quality head gaskets and all necessary hardware, including 20 OEM quality head bolts, new factory grade 10.9 rocker shaft bolts, and a new factory VVT cam bolt. Installation requires proper tuning to deactivate the MDS feature. Without correct tuning, the PCM will still command fuel cutoffs, potentially affecting performance. The product page notes that 2015 and newer vehicles require a PCM unlock, which is not included. Options for tuning and PCM unlocking are available, including shipping your PCM to MMX for deactivation. It is crucial to check local and State laws for emissions compliance before purchasing. While this kit is designed for a broad range of 5.7L HEMI applications from 2009 to 2023, a VIN number is required for part verification. Optional camshaft upgrades, such as the MMX NO TUNE REQUIRED NON MDS CAMSHAFT, can provide an additional +30HP.
