5.7L Non-MDS Camshaft

The Brian Tooley Racing MOPAR 2018 5.7 Non-MDS Long Block is a powerful replacement engine for 2018 and newer RAM 2500 and 3500 trucks, offering consistent 8-cylinder HEMI performance by eliminating the Multi-Displacement System (MDS). This crate engine is shipped in long block form and includes a non-MDS 5.7L Ram Truck Camshaft (Mopar P/N 53022314AD). It is a cost-effective solution for builds requiring full-time HEMI power and can also be used in passenger car and SUV applications. This 5.7L (345ci) engine features a robust cast-iron block and aluminum head construction. The valve system utilizes chain-driven Variable-cam timing (VVT) and is OHV, pushrod operated. It is factory rated at 383 horsepower and 400 lb-ft of torque. Customers will need to add an oil pan, intake manifold, front cover, valve covers, front accessories, and exhaust manifolds to complete the engine assembly. While designed for 2018+ RAM trucks, this long block is identical to 2009+ passenger car and light truck 5.7L HEMI long blocks, with the key difference being the absence of the MDS system. If replacing an MDS-equipped engine, the MDS system MUST be disabled within the ECU tune. For 1500 truck applications, ECU tuning is required. For non-MDS passenger car applications (e.g., 2009+ Charger R/T with manual transmission), tuning changes or a camshaft swap with Mopar P/N 53022064BD may be necessary. If used in Car/Jeep/Durango applications, the pickup tube stud needs to be moved to the #1 main position for proper oil pan pickup placement, torqued to 108 ft/lbs. This engine is sold as-delivered with no warranty.
