The rotational assembly (crankshaft, connecting rods, pistons) is dynamically balanced: crankshaft checked for run-out and fatigue, polished, ground to 0.0005 or less concentricity; rods inspected and conditioned; pistons, rings, and pin retainers weight-matched to 2 grams or less.
