The Rockford Fosgate R600X5 is a 5-channel amplifier designed to power an entire car audio system. The Rockford Fosgate R600X5 Prime 600 Watt 5-Channel Amplifier is engineered to drive a complete car audio system. It provides 75 Watts RMS to each of its four main channels and a robust 300 Watts RMS to the dedicated subwoofer channel when operating at a 2-ohm load (or 200W at 4-ohms). This amplifier features a hybrid topology, employing Class A/B for the front and rear channels to ensure superior audio fidelity, and a highly efficient Class D design for the subwoofer channel. Key features include a MOSFET power supply for stable operation, cast aluminum heatsink for effective thermal management, and short circuit/over-current protection for system safety. The R600X5 also includes an integrated 12dB/octave Butterworth crossover with adjustable high-pass/low-pass filters for the front/rear channels (50-250Hz) and a variable low-pass filter for the subwoofer (50-250Hz). Additionally, it offers built-in Punch EQ control and a 0°/180° phase switch for the subwoofer, along with remote Punch Level Control capability. It supports both RCA and high-level inputs, allowing for flexible integration with various head units. Installation considerations include a 4 AWG power wire gauge requirement and an 8 AWG speaker wire gauge. The amplifier operates within a 9-16 VDC range and requires a recommended 80 Amp fuse. Its dimensions are 1.98" (H) x 6.77" (W) x 13.19" (D).
