The Alpine S2-A55V is a next-generation 5-channel amplifier that upgrades entry-level sound systems. It houses Alpine's Class D Amplifier Circuit and is Hi-Res Audio Certified, offering a frequency response up to 40kHz for enhanced audio performance. It includes built-in selectable and adjustable crossovers, and features a new selectable remote turn-on circuit with a three-position switch crucial for proper integration with modern factory or aftermarket systems. For ease of installation, the sound controls, including gain and crossover adjustments, are located on the side panels, making them accessible even when installed in shallow locations like under vehicle seats. Removable end caps cover the side controls and connections for a clean, sleek finish. Key specifications include power output of 40W x 4 + 200W x 1 @ 4Ω or 60W x 4 + 300W x 1 @ 2Ω, and 120W RMS x 2 bridged @ 4Ω. The amplifier also features a two-sided terminal layout and is optional remote bass knob compatible, requiring the RUX-KNOB.2 or RUX-H01 (sold separately).
