5-Channel Amplifier

The Rockford Fosgate Punch P1000X5 is an ultra-efficient 5-channel amplifier designed to power your entire car audio system, including front and rear speakers, as well as a dedicated subwoofer. It delivers a robust 1000 watts of RMS power, with specific outputs such as 75 Watts x 4 channels at 4-Ohm plus 150 Watts x 1 channel at 4-Ohm. For higher output needs, it can provide 125 Watts x 4 channels at 2-Ohm and 300 Watts x 1 channel at 2-Ohm, or even up to 500 Watts x 1 channel at 1-Ohm for the subwoofer. This amplifier utilizes a hybrid topology, combining Class A/B for its front and rear channels (with 66% efficiency at 4-Ohm) and the more efficient Class BD for the subwoofer channel (80% efficiency at 4-Ohm). It is equipped with a 12dB/octave Butterworth crossover, adjustable from 50Hz to 250Hz for high-pass and low-pass applications, and includes a 28Hz infrasonic filter for the subwoofer. For enhanced audio tuning, the P1000X5 features an on-board Punch EQ with up to +18dB boost at 45Hz and Rockford Fosgate's patented C.L.E.A.N. (Calibrated Level Eliminates Audible Noise) setup technology with input and output clip LEDs. Installation considerations include the need for 4 AWG power wire and 12 AWG speaker wire. A 150A recommended fuse (not included) is required to protect the unit. The amplifier is also compatible with the optional Punch Level Control (PLC2), sold separately, which features an input clip indicator. Its compact dimensions are 2.38" x 7.76" x 15.03". The amplifier includes a 1-year warranty and is designed with a cast aluminum heatsink for effective thermal management and a stealth top-mounted control panel for a clean look and protection of vital controls.
