The Rockford Fosgate M5-1500X5 is a 1500-watt, 5-channel amplifier designed with an Element Ready™ ethos, making it exceptionally rugged and suitable for outdoor environments. Its IPX6 water intrusion rating, achieved through splash guards and sealed harnesses, ensures protection against powerful water jets. This amplifier is engineered and developed in Tempe, Arizona, and built on the popular TM series platform. This amplifier utilizes advanced technologies to deliver superior audio performance. Constant Power provides instantaneous output delivery across varying impedance loads, while Class-AD (front/rear channels) and Class-BD (sub channel) circuitry offer high efficiency and reduced current draw. The C.L.E.A.N. system includes input and output clip indicators for easy setup and optimal sound, preventing distortion. The amplifier also features discrete surface mount technology with 1% tolerances for enhanced efficiency and reduced cross-talk. It meets CTA-2006 standards for power ratings, differentiating between Continuous Power (bench tested) and Dynamic Power (real-world performance with a speaker load). This ensures honest power figures, with continuous output options like 100W x 4 + 400W x 1 @ 4Ω and dynamic output up to 200W x 4 + 700W x 1 @ 2Ω. The compact dimensions (1.7" x 4.25" x 12.3") facilitate installation. Integration is simplified with OEM and aftermarket radio inputs, and a special PRESET switch eliminates the need for manual tuning when used with compatible Rockford Fosgate UTV audio kits, allowing for extended music playback. Balanced differential inputs are included to eliminate noise picked up by signal cables.
