5-Channel Class D System Amplifier

The JL Audio XD700/5v2 is a 5-channel Class D system amplifier designed to deliver high-fidelity power to a full car audio setup, including four main speakers and a subwoofer, while maintaining a compact footprint. The unit utilizes proprietary NexD ultra-high-speed switching technology for efficient output and utilizes a heavy-duty aluminum alloy heat sink to effectively manage thermal loads during operation. Technical specifications include 75 watts RMS x 4 at 4 ohms (100 watts x 4 at 2 ohms) for main channels, plus a dedicated subwoofer channel capable of 180 watts at 4 ohms or 300 watts at 2 ohms. The amplifier features advanced protection circuitry including thermal, overload, and speaker short protection, complemented by an Advanced Rollback Protection system. It offers versatile installation options with selectable turn-on modes (Remote, Offset, or Signal-Sensing) and a differential balanced input section to minimize noise. Installation requires specific components not included with the unit. A 60A inline fuse is required for power protection. Speaker-level inputs via RCA require the separately sold JL Audio XD-CLRAIC2-SW adapter. Additionally, the HD-RLC remote level control is optional and sold separately. Users should note that input sensitivity varies by connection type, and internal filters include variable low-pass crossovers with selectable slopes of 12 or 24 dB/octave.
