5-Inch Lift Kit with Fox 2.0 Shocks

The BDS Suspension BDS202FS is a 5-inch lift kit engineered to enhance the stance, performance, and capability of your 1974-1993 Dodge RAM 1500 and 2500 4WD truck. This comprehensive kit provides clearance for up to 35-inch tires, allowing for larger off-road rubber. Up front, the kit utilizes Glide-Ride leaf springs with an exclusive triple-stage, multi-leaf progressive spring rate design to ensure a smooth ride and flexibility throughout the suspension cycle, regardless of load. In the rear, high-strength lift blocks and an add-a-leaf are used to achieve a level stance from front to rear. A 3-inch steering block is included to correct steering linkage angles, and brake line brackets are also provided. This lift kit includes Fox 2.0 Performance Series shocks, featuring a 2-inch impact extruded aluminum body, an internal floating piston monotube design, CNC machined aluminum mounting ends, and a massive 5/8-inch hard chrome plated alloy steel shaft. These shocks are race-developed with a high-flow piston and application-specific valving for maximum on- and off-road performance. Installation is designed to be straightforward with a 100% bolt-on process. However, some modifications may be necessary depending on your specific vehicle configuration. The 3-inch steering block is compatible only with Dana 44 axles featuring a 3-bolt knuckle to steering arm mount. This kit is not for heavy-duty 3/4 ton versions. If equipped with a front sway bar, the links will require sectioning and lengthening. Models with a 4WD dash light will need the wiring to be lengthened, and vehicles with Saginaw or Corporate type front driveshafts may require CV cluster dressing to prevent binding. Early 1974 models might use 4 square front u-bolts; verify before ordering.
