The Motobilt DIY Dana 44 Differential Cover is a bare steel kit designed for those who want to build their own heavy-duty differential cover. It is constructed from 1/4" thick steel and includes the pre-formed pieces and hardware needed for assembly. The purpose of upgrading from a factory diff cover is to provide better protection against trail hazards, which can cause leaks or damage to gears.

This heavy-duty cover aims to prevent failures like the edge peeling up from rocks, bending into the ring gear, or being punctured by sharp objects. It is backed by a LIFETIME WARRANTY against trail damage and manufacturing defects. An experienced welder is recommended for installation, with a note to tack pieces first and test fit before final welding.
