5" Performance HD Intercooler

The VRSF 5″ Performance HD Intercooler Upgrade Kit is engineered to replace the factory intercooler in select BMW models, providing enhanced cooling performance for tuned engines. This direct bolt-on kit features VRSF's proprietary High Density bar and plate core, which offers a significantly denser fin pack compared to the OEM tube-and-fin design. This increased surface area is crucial for absorbing and dissipating heat more effectively, leading to reduced intake air temperatures, especially during demanding situations like a 3rd gear pull. The core's design is carefully balanced to achieve optimal intake temperature reduction with minimal pressure drop, ensuring that the gains from increased boost and airflow are not compromised. The bar and plate construction also offers greater durability against road debris compared to the stock intercooler. VRSF states that this 5″ Performance HD core is capable of supporting up to 600 wheel horsepower (whp). The intercooler features tabs for retaining the factory fan shroud and CFD-optimized cast end tanks that are compatible with both OEM and aftermarket charge pipes. Each intercooler undergoes pressure testing and receives a thermal dispersant coating for leak-free performance and environmental protection. This kit fits both Left Hand Drive (LHD) and Right Hand Drive (RHD) models, as well as all XI variants. Note: The F23 and F33 chassis models are limited to the 5″ Street version only. This intercooler is designed for the 2012-2018 BMW F20/F21 1 Series, 2014-2018 F22/F23 2 Series, 2012-2018 F30/F31/F36 3 Series, 2012-2018 F32/F33/F34 4 Series, and 2016-2019 F87 M2.
