5" Performance HD Intercooler Kit

The VRSF 5" Performance HD intercooler is engineered as a direct bolt-on upgrade for 2012-2016 BMW models including the 228i, M235i, 328i, 335i, 428i, and 435i equipped with the N20, N26, or N55 engines. It replaces the stock tube-and-fin intercooler, which can become heat-soaked under increased boost and airflow, leading to reduced performance and potential pre-detonation. This upgraded intercooler features a proprietary VRSF HD bar and plate core, utilizing a high-density, staggered, and offset internal and external fin pack. This design significantly increases the surface area for enhanced heat absorption and dissipation, resulting in lower intake air temperatures. The core is also more durable than the OEM unit, offering better resistance to debris. The 5" HD core is capable of supporting up to 600 wheel horsepower. Installation is designed to be straightforward, with an estimated time of less than 1.5 hours. The intercooler includes all necessary hardware and features tabs for retaining the factory fan shroud. Its CFD-optimized cast end tanks are compatible with both OEM and most aftermarket charge pipes. A thermal dispersant coating is applied after pressure testing to ensure a leak-free experience and provide superior protection against the elements. This intercooler also fits Left Hand Drive (LHD), Right Hand Drive (RHD), and all XI models.
