The Zumbrota RMTM5R2F-6 is a remanufactured manual transmission specifically designed for 1997-1998 Ford F150 and F250 trucks equipped with a V8 engine and a 2WD drivetrain, featuring a 5-speed configuration. This transmission undergoes a rigorous three-step inspection process, beginning with a pre-inspection for common issues like case cracks or excessive wear. Step two involves precise measurement of component parts to guarantee adherence to OEM specifications. The final step ensures each unit is built to exacting quality standards, with thorough testing of shaft straightness, gear wear, and synchronizers. Constructed with all-aluminum materials, this transmission boasts an integral bell housing for enhanced rigidity and a removable top cover for easier servicing.
