The Zumbrota RMTM5R1F-5TE is a remanufactured M5R1 manual transmission engineered for 2001-2008 Ford Ranger and Mazda B-series 2WD trucks equipped with the 3.0L engine. Constructed entirely from aluminum, this 5-speed transmission features a 5-inch shifter stub and a single switch top cover. Zumbrota Drivetrain emphasizes quality in their remanufacturing process. Each transmission is subjected to a three-step inspection: pre-inspection for case cracks and wear, measurement of components against OEM specifications, and a final build to exacting standards. Shaft straightness, gear wear, and synchronizers are meticulously tested. The units are dyno-tested to confirm proper operation, smooth shifting, and acceptable noise levels, ensuring reliability and performance. This M5R1 transmission is identified by Hollander number 4-3219B. It requires 3.4 quarts of transmission fluid, which is not included. The shifter itself is also not included with this transmission assembly.
