This comprehensive 5-speed transmission conversion kit from Tremec is engineered for 1982-1992 Camaro models, aiming to reduce cruising RPMs and enhance the driving experience. The kit includes an AP Revolution Offset Shifter Mechanism, positioned to match the OE 4-speed shift location for a familiar feel. It also features a lightweight, modular aluminum X-Factor Cross Member, certified for up to 1000hp and providing 3.5" exhaust tube clearance. The kit comes complete with a 1330 solid yoke cryo-hardened steel driveshaft slip yoke, ensuring robust power transfer. For seamless integration with older systems, a mechanical speedometer conversion with a compatible OE cable adapter is included, alongside a VSS wiring harness to support electronic speedometers or fuel injection ECUs. Additionally, a rolled, tapered steel tunnel patch is provided for structural reinforcement.
