5-Ton Air Handler with ECM Blower

The Goodman AMST60DU1300 is a 5-ton, multi-position, ECM-based air handler designed for use with R32 refrigerant. This unit is optimized for single-stage air conditioning and heat pump outdoor units, achieving up to 15.2 SEER2 efficiency ratings. Key features include internal factory-installed thermal expansion valves for both cooling and heat pump modes, ensuring precise refrigerant control. It is equipped with a direct-drive, multi-speed ECM blower motor for energy-efficient airflow. The air handler boasts an all-aluminum evaporator coil and a durable SmartFrame™ sub-structure. Its cabinet is designed for reduced condensation with screw-less sides, back, and foil-faced insulation, and features a 21-inch depth for easier installation, particularly in attics. Further enhancing its performance and usability, the AMST60DU1300 offers capabilities for horizontal or vertical configuration. It meets stringent performance standards, with cabinet air leakage less than 2.0% at 1.0 inch H₂O and less than 1.4% at 0.5 inch H₂O, as tested per ASHRAE standards. The unit is AHRI certified, ETL listed, and UL 60335 2-40 Compliant. Field-installed electric heater kits ranging from 3 kW to 25 kW are also available. This Goodman air handler comes with a 10-year limited parts warranty. Its specifications include a 60,000 BTU/h cooling capacity, 208/230 V voltage rating, 3/8" liquid line size, and 7/8" suction line size, with a 3/4" drain connection.
