The TiAL Q-Series blow-off valve serves as a high-flow pressure relief solution for forced-induction engines, including turbo-charged and super-charged setups like Paxton or Vortec systems. By optimizing airflow, this unit enables engines to support up to 1,800hp while preventing surge through its 50.5mm valve. Engineering improvements allow it to flow 60% more air per cycle compared to the original TiAL design. The housing and internal components are CNC-machined from 6061 aluminum alloy, allowing for various anodized color finishes. Durability is enhanced by a high-temp silicone Nomex-reinforced diaphragm and a Teflon-lubricated, hard-anodized valve stem and guide. Each unit includes a V-band aluminum mounting clamp with stainless steel hardware, along with a weld-base mounting flange in aluminum or mild steel. Installation is simplified by a design that fits all existing standard TiAL flanges, eliminating the need for re-welding. The valve utilizes a Viton O-ring seat to ensure consistent operation and comes with a machined aluminum banjo-type air fitting with a 10mm hose barb for responsive actuator control. A variety of springs are available for different vacuum levels, including a specific -2psi spring option for supercharged applications.
