The Disc Brakes Australia (DBA) 5000 Series XS brake rotor is engineered as a high-performance replacement rotor ring for popular two-piece rotor systems. It features DBA's X-Gold XS design, a distinctive non-directional cross-drilled and slotted pattern that significantly boosts passive cooling and allows for efficient gas escape while maintaining structural integrity. Constructed with an XG-150 cast iron alloy ring and an aerospace-grade T6061-T6 aluminum alloy center hat, this two-piece rotor design reduces unsprung weight and minimizes heat transfer to the hub, thereby improving overall performance and protecting wheel bearings and hubs from thermal damage. The center hat is assembled using NAS specification hardware. Further enhancing its durability and performance, the 5000 Series rotors undergo a TSP (Thermal Stability Profiling) heat treatment process. This treatment refines the material at an atomic level, creating a uniform grain structure that provides superior resistance to warping and extends service life, even under extreme heat conditions. Each rotor is equipped with Thermographic Heat Paint Markings, enabling visual identification of peak braking temperatures during intense use.
