The Chevrolet Performance 502 HO Crate Engine is a Big-Block V-8 designed for enhanced performance. This engine boasts a 502 cubic inch (8.2L) displacement and a cast iron block with four-bolt main caps. The 502 HO is engineered to deliver significant power, producing 461 horsepower and 558 lb.-ft. of torque. It includes a forged steel crankshaft, forged steel shot-peened connecting rods, and forged aluminum pistons for durability. The assembly comes with an aluminum dual-plane intake manifold, a water pump, a 14-inch flexplate, and a balancer. Buyers will need to add a carburetor, fuel pump, starter, distributor, and ignition system for complete operation.
