50mm Blow-Off Valve

The TiAL Sport Q.50 is a high-performance 50mm blow-off valve, representing the first revision of TiAL's original design. This Q Series valve offers a 60% increase in airflow per cycle compared to its predecessor, making it the highest flowing 50mm BOV on the market. It is constructed from a CNC-machined 6061 aluminum alloy for both the body and all internal components, ensuring durability and lightweight performance. The Q.50 features a large 1.98-inch (50.5mm) valve diameter and is rated to support an impressive 1,800 horsepower with a single valve. It utilizes a Viton O-ring seal, clamped in place to prevent sticking or pulling out, and a PTFE-lubricated, hard anodize-coated valve stem and guide for enhanced wear resistance. The unit comes with a machined aluminum banjo-type air fitting with an oversized 10mm hose barb for quick actuator response, and a high-temperature silicone Nomex-reinforced diaphragm for long service life. An aluminum weld base mounting flange, cut for a 2-1/2 inch pipe, and a V-band design aluminum mounting clamp with stainless steel hardware are included for a clean, corrosion-resistant installation. It is suitable for turbocharged and supercharged applications, including Paxton and Vortec supercharger setups. TiAL Sport offers a range of spring options (2, 6, 8, 10, 11, and 12 PSI), with a dedicated spring available for supercharged vehicles. The spring ratings reflect the idle vacuum level rather than boost pressure. Installation requires a 1/4 inch inner diameter direct boost reference line to the intake manifold for optimal response; smaller lines or T-fittings can lead to delayed response. It is important to note that replacing a factory electronic diverter valve with this external type may trigger a P0035 check engine light on certain vehicles. This code does not affect drivability or performance but indicates the absence of the electronic valve. For drivers prioritizing a clean dash with no check engine light, an electronic plug-and-play valve might be a more suitable option.
