50mm Foam Cell Steering Damper

The Dobinsons SD29-840 is a big bore steering damper engineered to enhance steering control and mitigate feedback, particularly beneficial for vehicles equipped with raised suspensions, larger tires, or added accessories. Its 50mm body and foam cell insert ensure smooth and consistent damping performance, even under demanding conditions. Constructed with durability in mind, this steering damper boasts induction-hardened rods for increased strength and Teflon piston rings to reduce friction and promote smoother operation. It also utilizes NOK triple lip oil seals for excellent sealing and extended longevity. The damper is designed as a direct OE replacement, allowing for hassle-free installation without requiring modifications. This steering damper is suitable for all Jeep 4x4 vehicles featuring a live (solid) front axle from model years 1987-2017. This includes XJ Cherokee, YJ, TJ, and JK Wranglers (both 2 and 4-door, left-hand drive models), as well as ZJ and WJ Grand Cherokees. The SD29-840 is supplied with two styles of mounting pins; users should match the pin to their OE supplied pin and discard the unneeded one.
