50W C4FM/FM Dual Band Digital Mobile Transceiver

The Yaesu FTM-500DR is a 50W C4FM/FM 144/430MHz dual band digital mobile transceiver, building on Yaesu's advanced core features with the latest C4FM digital technology. It boasts a unique AESS (Acoustic Enhanced Speaker System) dual speaker setup, delivering a total of 9W of clear, high-fidelity audio through a 6W front panel speaker and a 3W internal main unit speaker. This transceiver offers true dual band operation, supporting C4FM/C4FM digital D-D dual receive. It incorporates advanced C4FM digital modes, including AMS (Automatic Mode Select), DG-ID feature, and Smart Navigation. The FTM-500DR is equipped with a 2.4-inch high-resolution full-color touch-panel display and a detachable front panel controller. The angle-variable swing-head design of the front panel enhances display visibility, and a single-touch spectrum scope function allows for quick switching between scope and dual receive operations. It also includes a high-speed band scope function displaying up to 61 channels centered on the current frequency. Key features include 1104 memory channels, a built-in 66-channel high-precision GPS receiver with external GPS device connectivity, and 1200/9600bps APRS data communication capabilities. The FTM-500DR also offers wireless operation with an optional Bluetooth headset. For power, it provides 50W stable high-power output with a heavy-duty heat sink and FACC, with selectable 50W/25W/5W output levels. Storage is available via a Micro SD card slot (up to 32GB) for backup, restore, GPS logging, and voice recording. The transceiver is compatible with WiRES-X portable digital node or HRI-200 fixed node operation. Software updates, including ADMS programming software and firmware updates, are available to enhance functionality.
