The Eagle Specialty Products SIR6200BBLW connecting rods are designed as an upgrade from reconditioned stock rods. Forged from robust 5140 steel, these I-beam rods offer enhanced strength and reliability for engine builds. They are equipped with a floating wrist pin style and come with 3/8 inch ARP 8740 chromoly steel bolts, rated at 190,000 psi tensile strength. These connecting rods measure 6.200 inches center-to-center with a 2.100-inch rod journal diameter and a 2.2250-inch big end bore diameter. The pin end bore diameter is 0.927 inches, and the big end width is 0.940 inches. They are not clearanced for stroker applications. The rods are X-rayed, sonic-tested, magnafluxed, and shot-peened to ensure material integrity and stress relief. Each rod in the set is weight-matched to within two grams, contributing to a balanced rotating assembly and potentially increasing engine life and high-rpm capability. The big end sizing is precisely controlled by in-house CNC equipment. These rods are sold as a set of 8 and are a non-remanufactured part, featuring a shot-peened finish.
