520 Chain and Sprocket Kit

The Superlite 520 conversion kit is a customizable chain and sprocket set engineered for the BMW S1000RR models from 2023 to 2026. This kit offers a 520 chain pitch, which is narrower than the stock 525 pitch, potentially reducing drive-train weight by 1 to 2 pounds. This reduction in unsprung weight can contribute to improved acceleration, braking, and suspension feel. The kit includes a Superlite brand chromoly-steel front sprocket and a Superlite RSX rear sprocket, available in either durable steel or lightweight, hard-anodized aluminum with a unique spoke design for superior strength and weight savings. The front sprockets are cross-drilled for further weight reduction. The chain is cut to the proper length for easy installation, though some adjustments might be necessary depending on gearing and tire size selections. The Superlite RSX steel rear sprocket offers a lifespan 2-3 times longer than aluminum sprockets, while still providing significant weight savings. The kit comes complete with a rivet-type master link. Please note that while most orders receive the correct chain length, some may require customer shortening due to variations in gearing, tire sizes, or wheelbase. It is always recommended to check the chain length before riveting the master link.
