The Driven Racing 520 Conversion Chain & Sprocket Kit is engineered for the Yamaha YZF-R1 models from 2009 to 2014. This kit allows for customization, including your choice of premium 520 X-Ring chain from brands like DID, EK, or RK. It includes a lightweight chromoly steel front sprocket, a Driven Racing Evo series black steel rear sprocket, and a rivet-style master link, all with a 520 pitch. This 520 conversion kit is designed to be narrower and lighter than the original equipment, potentially shaving 1 to 2 pounds off the drive-train. This reduction in unsprung weight can contribute to improved acceleration, braking, and a more refined suspension feel. While the chain is typically pre-cut to the correct length for your motorcycle and selected sprocket sizes, it is important to always check the chain length before riveting the master link, as some adjustments may be necessary due to variations in gearing, tire size, or wheelbase.
