The Vortex 520 Conversion Kit is engineered for Honda CBR600RR models from 2007 to 2025, providing a direct replacement for your stock chain and sprockets. This kit utilizes a 520 pitch chain and narrower sprockets compared to the original equipment, which helps to reduce rotating weight and can shed 1-2 pounds from the motorcycle's overall mass. Installation requires no modifications, making it a straightforward upgrade. Customers can choose between stock gearing or a Quick-Acceleration option. The Quick-Acceleration kit features a front sprocket that is one tooth smaller than stock, resulting in increased low-end torque and quicker acceleration from a standstill. The kit components include a Vortex chromoly-steel front sprocket available in 15 or 16 teeth, a Vortex steel or aluminum rear sprocket with 42 teeth, and a premium 520 pitch X'ring chain with 112 links, complete with a rivet-type master link. The average lifespan for a well-maintained chain kit is estimated to be 5,000-8,000 miles when using an aluminum rear sprocket, and 15,000-18,000 miles with a steel rear sprocket.
