The BTR .550" Lift Gen V LT Beehive Valve Spring Set is a drop-in replacement for stock valve springs on L83, L84, L86, L87, L8T, and LT1 engines. Designed to be used with stock retainers and locks, these springs offer 95 lbs of pressure at 1.870 inches and 300 lbs at 1.330 inches. The set has a coil bind height of 1.280 inches and a spring rate of 386 lb/in.

The Brian Tooley Racing (BTR) .550" Lift Gen V LT Beehive Valve Spring Set (BTR91120-16) is engineered as a direct replacement for the factory valve springs found in a range of Gen V LT engines, including the L83, L84, L86, L87, L8T, and LT1. They provide 95 lbs of seat pressure at 1.870 inches and build to 300 lbs of pressure at 1.330 inches. The spring set has a coil bind specification of 1.280 inches and a rate of 386 lb/in, suitable for lifts up to .550 inches. BTR advises against using these single-wire conical or beehive springs with roller rockers due to potential valve train instability from increased mass, or with higher ratio rockers that could lead to coil bind. For specific roller rocker combinations, contacting BTR's sales team for clarification is recommended.
