The Bosch 0280158117 is a versatile EV14 fuel injector with a 550cc flow rate, making it a suitable upgrade for many tuner engines. Its modern top-feed design and USCAR-style connector offer broad compatibility across various vehicles, including MINI Coopers, Volkswagen GTIs, BMW E36 M3s, Nissan 370Zs, and Chevrolet LS engines. This injector boasts ultra-fast solenoids for precise fuel metering and a linear response across a wide range of operating conditions. It is compatible with gasoline, methanol, and ethanol fuels, and features factory-correct dual spray cones. The injector measures 65.45mm in overall length with an O-ring to O-ring length of 48.65mm. While considered a near drop-in for many engines like the Porsche 996/997 Turbos and R53 MINIs, modifications may be necessary for others. For instance, Mercedes M113-equipped models require a jumper harness due to connector differences. The supercharged 1.6L in the R53 MINI necessitates harness adapters and significant engine work. Volkswagen and Audi 1.8t owners will find these to be direct drop-ins, but an ECU tune is essential. It is crucial to research specific model requirements before installation. Note that these injectors are an upgrade and do not come OEM for European applications.
