The BBK Performance 1548-R is a reconditioned 56mm throttle body engineered to enhance the performance of 1994-1998 Ford Mustang V6 vehicles. This unit offers a significant increase in horsepower and torque, with gains of 7-10 RWHP reported. Its larger bore provides maximum airflow, leading to quicker throttle response and improved acceleration compared to the stock component. Despite its increased size, it is designed as a direct bolt-on replacement that works with the factory intake manifold and inlet tubing, though a cold air intake is recommended for optimal performance. It includes die-stamped throttle linkages, double-sealed bearings, and O-ringed throttle shafts. This throttle body is manufactured in the USA and comes with new gaskets for a hassle-free installation. It is also C.A.R.B. approved (EO Number D-245-17), making it legal for use in all 50 states on 1994-1998 Ford Mustang 3.8L V6 applications. This particular unit is sold in reconditioned condition but comes with a full 1-year factory warranty, ensuring peace of mind for the buyer. BBK Performance products are covered by a one-year warranty against defects in materials or craftsmanship, provided they are installed and used according to guidelines and not for racing purposes.
