The system features a tube constructed from high-density polyethylene, rotationally molded to ensure a smooth, unobstructed air pathway to the engine. This design, combined with a large, conical, high-flow air filter, allows for significantly more air intake, which is a key factor in the system's performance gains. The filter itself is designed to capture more dirt than competing products and is 100% reusable and washable, requiring cleaning only every 100,000 miles. This vehicle-specific design is intended for easy installation as a direct factory replacement, with all necessary hardware and instructions included. The K&N FIPK system is guaranteed by K&N to boost horsepower and acceleration, offering a noticeable improvement in throttle response and engine sound. It is also CARB exempt and street legal in all 50 states. This K&N FIPK Cold Air Intake is specifically designed to fit the 1993-1995 Ford F150 Lightning.
