Constructed from high-density polyethylene (HDPE), this system features a washable, reusable high-flow air filter made with oiled cotton filter media. It includes a custom heat shield to protect against engine bay heat and can typically be installed in under an hour with basic tools.

A key component is the oversized, conical K&N High-Flow Air Filter, made with oiled cotton gauze, which is washable and reusable, allowing for service intervals of up to 100,000 miles under typical highway driving conditions. This system includes a custom heat shield to isolate the intake air from engine bay heat, helping to maintain cooler air temperatures for better combustion. Mounting hardware is included, and K&N estimates a horsepower gain of 8.46 HP at 5482 RPM. The kit also comes with two stainless steel clamps and oil for the filter. Detailed instructions are provided. It is important to note that some K&N air intake systems may not be street legal in California; buyers in California should verify the CARB EO Number (D-269-28) for compliance with local regulations. This K&N Performance Air Intake System is specifically designed for the Chrysler 300M (2002-2004) and Dodge Intrepid (2001-2003, including 2004 SXT models).
