The VRSF 5in Stepped FMIC is a front mount intercooler upgrade designed for N54 engines in BMW 135i and 335i models. It features 3D CAD designed cast aluminum end tanks for improved flow and durability, along with a custom bar and plate intercooler core. This intercooler helps reduce air charge temperatures, increase horsepower and torque, and prevent heat soak.

The VRSF 5in Stepped FMIC is a high-performance front mount intercooler upgrade engineered for 2007-2013 N54 BMW 135i and 335i models (E82/E90/E92). It also helps reduce the potential for pre-detonation and knock. Constructed with 3D CAD designed cast aluminum end tanks, this intercooler offers superior flow characteristics and enhanced durability compared to sheet metal alternatives. The custom bar and plate intercooler core features a specialized fin pack developed over years of success on performance platforms. The unit includes tabs for mounting the factory fan shroud and additional hardware for increased support. All necessary couplers and stainless steel t-bolt clamps are included for installation. Installation notes indicate that the 5-inch stepped core typically requires minimal trimming of the black plastic shroud behind the bumper, though some models may need slight adjustments. A critical note for 2009 and later N54 models is the potential need for an upgraded lower charge pipe, which is available separately. This VRSF intercooler comes with a lifetime warranty against defects and fitment issues. It is compatible with 2007-2011 BMW 335i (E90/E92) and 2008-2011 BMW 135i N54/N55 & 1M (E82).
