5R110 Transmission

The SunCoast Category 2 500HP 5R110 transmission is engineered to significantly enhance the durability and performance of your vehicle's drivetrain. This upgraded transmission addresses known weaknesses in the factory 5R110 unit, commonly found in 2003-2010 Ford 6.0L and 6.4L Power Stroke diesel engines. It includes a robust set of internal upgrades focused on improving strength and reliability under demanding conditions. Key enhancements in this Category 2 transmission include a billet Vascomax input shaft and a billet rear ring gear hub, both precision machined from high-strength steel to withstand increased torque and heavy-duty towing. The transmission also features SunCoast's proprietary pump and valve body modifications for cleaner, crisper shifts. Additional upgrades include a Mag-Hytec deep pan to increase case rigidity and reduce torsional flexing, a SunCoast Overhaul Kit, and a SunCoast Valve Body Calibration Kit. The transmission comes complete with a SunCoast Triple-Disc Billet Torque Converter, further enhancing its power-handling capabilities.
