5R110W-A SHIFT KIT Transmission Repair Kit

The TransGo 5R110W-A SHIFT KIT® Transmission Repair Kit is engineered to resolve prevalent issues in the 5R110W automatic transmission found in 2003 and later Ford vehicles. Common problems addressed include run-away reverse pressure, case lug blow-out, transmission slippage, neutral conditions at stops, and torque converter clutch (TCC) slippage or related codes. This kit features several key components to enhance transmission performance and durability. This innovative design allows for some distortion in the pump casting, thereby preventing the pressure regulator valve from sticking in its bore, which is a frequent cause of low or no line pressure. Additionally, the kit incorporates a pressure control solenoid pressure limit system to prevent excessive line pressure, even if the solenoid malfunctions. It also increases TCC apply pressure, as factory settings are often insufficient for heavily loaded vehicles, thus preventing TCC slippage and performance codes. A high-tension low/reverse case snap ring is included to protect the case should the snap ring groove become worn. The kit corrects and prevents issues such as run-away reverse pressure, case lug blow-out, lack of movement, slipping or no reverse, neutralizing at stops, and TCC slippage and performance codes. Components included are pressure control limit bushings, spring, ball, cotter pin, a USA-made hardened steel two-piece pressure regulator valve and spring, converter regulator valve springs, a high-tension low/reverse case snap ring, and an aluminum pressure switch plug with O-ring.
