The Royal Purple 83540 is a 1-gallon container of Duralec Super synthetic engine oil with a 5W40 weight. This oil is formulated for emission-controlled diesel engines that utilize emissions equipment such as DPFs, catalytic converters, EGR, and SCR injection.

The synthetic formulation offers excellent high-temperature breakdown resistance and low-temperature pumpability to minimize cold-start wear. Its stable additive package provides good soot dispersancy, protecting against oil thickening and abrasive wear, while also offering rust and corrosion protection and helping to prevent varnish and sludge formation.
