6.0L Power Stroke Diesel Piston and Ring Set

The Mahle Fly Cut Piston Set from Ddpm is engineered for 2003-2010 Ford/Navistar Power Stroke Diesel V8 6.0L engines, providing a robust solution for high-performance diesel applications. These pistons are constructed with a soft radius bowl and valve relief design to eliminate sharp edges, and feature a steel top ring groove for durability in street strip trucks. The skirts are coated with a Grafal moly-based friction coating, and the ring set includes a plasma-coated steel top ring, a ductile iron second ring, and a two-piece oil ring. Each set comes complete with 8 pistons, 8 pins, 16 locks, and Mahle piston rings, along with Teflon-coated skirts for enhanced performance. Customization options are available to tailor the pistons to specific build requirements. These include fly cut valve pockets for larger lift camshafts, with specific pocket depths offered for various camshaft stages, ranging from .035" for Stage 1 & 2 to .110" for Stage 4 and up racing camshafts. Reduced compression options are also available for cylinder blocks milled more than .006", with options to mill .010", .020", or .030" off the piston top. Further enhancing versatility, the set offers options for de-lipped fuel bowls. A standard 'None' option is available, alongside a 'Delip fuel bowl' for hot street and racing applications with 250cc+ injectors, and a 'Wide race fuel bowl' designed for all-out racing with injectors over 350cc. It is important to note that the de-lip option may cause fuel smoke on cold starts. The pistons are tested and rated for up to 1400+ HP. When ordering, customers must specify the required piston size from the available options: Standard, .010, .020, .030, and .040. It is strongly recommended to have engine blocks measured by a machine shop to ensure correct sizing. Pistons with ceramic coating and/or machining cannot be exchanged.
