The Infinity Kappa 62IX is a 6-1/2" two-way car audio multi-element speaker engineered to deliver superior sound quality and performance. The edge-driven textile dome tweeters offer broader and smoother high-frequency response, with an oversized voice coil that optimizes thermal power handling for reduced distortion and high reliability, even at high volumes. This speaker system boasts an SLI (Super Low Impedance) High Output design, featuring a 2.5-ohm architecture that allows it to extract maximum power from your amplifier or head unit. This lower impedance also helps compensate for any added resistance in thin factory-installed wiring. With an ultra-high sensitivity of up to 96dB, the Kappa 62IX can achieve excellent volume with as little as 5 watts RMS, making them an ideal upgrade for original factory-installed speakers. Infinity ensures the reliability of the Kappa 62IX through rigorous Harman Standard testing, subjecting the speakers to extreme conditions like freezing, baking, shaking, and prolonged high-power operation. Each speaker is individually tuned using outboard passive crossovers with audiophile-grade inductors and capacitors to achieve superior audio detail and accuracy. The UniPivot tweeter can be rotated up to 270° after installation for optimal imaging and soundstage elevation, and includes a push-button level control to fine-tune high frequencies.
