The Rockford Fosgate PM262 is a 6-inch, 2-way coaxial speaker system engineered for marine applications, offering robust performance in challenging outdoor conditions. This speaker system is built to withstand the elements with marine-grade weatherproofing technologies, ensuring durability and consistent sound quality on the water. Constructed with UV-stable Centr™ 814 injection molded plastic parts and a moisture, tear, and fatigue-resistant Aramid fiber spider, the PM262 is designed for longevity. It features a 1-inch coated aluminum alloy tweeter and a 6-inch injection molded mineral-filled polypropylene cone body with UV inhibitors. The surround is made from UV and salt-fog resistant TPE, and it includes a stainless steel grille insert for added protection and a clean aesthetic. The integrated 12dB/octave crossover is sealed and includes a protection circuit. The speaker boasts a power handling of 75 watts RMS and 150 watts peak, with a frequency response of 53Hz - 22kHz and a sensitivity of 87.5 dB. Rockford Fosgate's Marine PM standard means all components are protected against dust, UV, temperature, water, corrosion, and vibration, adhering to ASTM test standards. The speakers are CEA-2031 compliant for power handling. The PM262 utilizes a FlexFit basket for fine-tuning mounting position and an ICC Crossover for a cleaner installation. It also includes a removable trim ring/grille. Note that this model has been discontinued and replaced by the M1-6.
