6.2L Billet Steel Gear Oil Pump

The Livernois Motorsports 6.2L Ford Oil Pump is designed to replace the stock unit in 2010-2022 Ford 6.2L engines. This assembly includes a brand new Ford OEM oil pump that has been fitted with high-strength billet steel gears by trained Livernois technicians. The stock oil pumps in Ford modular engines, including the 6.2L, are mounted directly to the crankshaft and are therefore susceptible to the same harmonics that affect the crankshaft itself. The factory gears, made from powdered metal, are prone to fracturing under these stresses, which can result in a loss of oil pressure and severe engine damage. This failure has been observed in several cases, particularly in supercharged 6.2L Ford engines. Livernois strongly recommends installing this upgraded oil pump as a preventative measure, especially before adding a supercharger. If you are in the process of rebuilding or repairing a Ford modular engine, replacing the oil pump and gears with this billet steel gear assembly is highly advisable to enhance reliability and prevent catastrophic failure. While billet steel gears are available separately (part number LPP701127), Livernois advises against installing new gears into a worn oil pump housing.
