The Cold Air Inductions 501-1099-10-UKMB is an air intake upgrade tube specifically engineered for the 2010-2015 Chevrolet Camaro SS equipped with the 6.2L V8 engine and either a Magnuson or Whipple supercharger. This kit replaces restrictive factory air intake components with a thermal-coated, 4.0" (102mm) intake tube aimed at reducing heat soak and improving airflow to the engine. It utilizes a high-performance, pre-oiled air filter (CF-8400) for direct installation. Sources indicate this upgrade can deliver quicker throttle response and improved engine performance. Installation is generally straightforward and can be completed quickly. The insulated aluminum airbox design, often featuring a removable lid and a filter inspection window, is intended to draw cooler, denser air into the engine, further contributing to performance gains. For specific applications like the 2010-2011 6.2L V8 with SLP PN 92000A Supercharger, and 2012-2015 Camaro ZL1 V8 6.2L Supercharged, this intake system is noted to retain the OEM washer bottle in its stock location.
