6.5-Inch 2-Way Coaxial Speaker

The Hertz Cento CX165 is a 6.5-inch, 2-way coaxial speaker engineered to overcome the acoustic challenges of OEM installation locations, delivering high performance. Its 24mm Tetolon® dome tweeter, cooled with ferrofluid, provides extended and natural high frequencies, while the tweeter's faceplate geometry is optimized using FEM simulations for linear off-axis response. The speaker also incorporates the RHFC™ (Rotary High Frequency Contour) system, allowing the tweeter to be angled and directed for optimal frequency response in any installation scenario. The woofer utilizes a 165mm (6.5-inch) SPP-M (Semi Pressed Paper-Mica) cone, enhanced with Mica powder to achieve an excellent balance of lightness and damping for superior acoustic qualities. A 25mm (1-inch) aluminum former voice coil guarantees high excursion and robust power handling, further supported by a high-density flux ferrite magnet and low-carbon polar plates that minimize distortion at high power levels. The basket is compact and designed with a rubber magnet cover to suppress spurious vibrations, contributing to overall sound clarity.
